In other news, 2 people were murdered in this country between 11am-12pm. Most likely with a candlestick, in the conservatory, by Mrs. Peacock.

ABC News says "Several people shot"
Sounds like at security checkpoint. Not sure if terminal 1 or 3

We went through customs a few weeks ago at LAX. It is such a cluster***k. The lines are so long, the hand out these express tickets (bright orange) to let you go through a special, shorter line. They were running so behind that they had us literally run through customs. No inspection, no dogs, nothing.

Pure speculation here, but I find it odd someone would enter a place with as much police presence as LAX to randomly open fire. They say one of the injured was a TSA agent. That makes me wonder if someone was trying to get a weapon on a plane and was in the process of being caught.

CNN reporter says shooter had an assault rifle so it is a pretty safe bet there was not an assault rifle involved.

Sound like a "simple" case of workplace violence. TSA or ex-employee upset about something. Of course if your workplace is the airport, there is nothing simple about dealing with the situation.
