What record will the Cyclones finish with?

With basketball starting in less than a week. I was curious how you all thought we would realistically finish this year record wise. And what that may mean tournament time. I have us going 22-9. The two regular season losses to end the season really hurt us and once again we get an 8 seed in the tournament. I could see the BYU and Iowa game going either way in Non-con, so I split those 2. I think we could be ranked or closed to ranked going into the big monday game with Kansas. our last 3 games are super tough and important. If we can split the last two games of the season, instead of losing both, we may have a chance to move up to a seven or better seed. I also think we will probably upset somebody that I didn't predict, but I also think we will lose one or two that I have as wins. If all holds true, we should get to 23 wins with our first round victory in the big 12's. Maybe I am drinking some kool aid, but this is basically the base line that I have come to expect with a Hoiberg team. sorry for the messed up formatting, don't have time to fix it.

I got us at 22-8 going into the conference tourney. I can see a long winning streak in February if the teams scheduled in that month end up being as bad as the experts are predicting. There's a potential seven game win streak starting with the TCU home game on 2/8 and going through the KSU away game on 3/1. I know Manhattan is usually a tough place to play, but I just don't see the Purple Kitties being very good this year.

23 wins from what I see. We have a lot of different player types around 6-3 to 6-7 to change the games. Hope to make EIU look like chop liver.

I threw in a loss on Christmas because I figure we won't come back sweeping it.

I don't see us losing to K-State at all. Splitting w/Kansas and Ok State (2-2 for those 4 games). I still think we beat Baylor twice again - they are going to have issues at the point and Jackson is the only reason they had a fighting chance last year in Waco. Iowa will fall to us in Hilton. I could see us dropping the game at WVU or at Oklahoma and possibly losing both the Michigan and BYU games.

I like the number 23. Seems like a good basketball number.

Big 12 breakdown: For us to be successful.

Need to go at least 1-3 against KU/OSU
Need to go 2-2 against KSU/Baylor
Need to go 3-1 against OU/WV
Need to go 5-1 against Texas/TCU/Tech

I think that is reasonable and puts us at 11-7 in probably third or fourth.

Good as a minimum, I think we do better. The non-con is too unpredictable for me to try, but I think we either sweep the bottom 3 or go 3-1 against KSU/Baylor for 12-6.

Way up there
I have us 8-4 in the non con, 12-6 in the big 12. The big 12 schedule is front loaded, I think there's a good chance to make a run late in conference play, the strectch from Feb 8th through the 26th looks really favorable and is really good timing as far as impressing the selection committee. I think we'll be under or right around .500 in conference play going in to that stretch due to playing most of our tough games early but that group of games are all winnable and I think we come out Feb a tourney team.

I'd say about the same as our last two years, but I think since we return our front court we might click a little faster than usual.

20-10 overall, 11-7 conference record heading into the Big 12 tourney. Non-conference losses to Michigan, either UNI or Iowa, and one in the December tournament to... Boise State. We are swept in conference by KU and OSU, split with Baylor and OU, lose one other.

This. I think we could easily win that tourney but foresee some frustrating games instead. I would tab that three game stretch as most likely to evoke a cf meltdown.

Wow people. One does not simply waltz into Hilton Coliseum...

Also, the game @ BYU is like what other teams face when they come to Hilton...

I left my crystal ball at home to know the actual outcome but I'm predicting we win more games than we lose and have our dancing shoes packed again this year.
