Cardinals didn't complain, Umpires saw nothing.

He used it to help his grip, it had no affect on the ball making funky movements. It wasn't cheating the hitters.

As they just said on ESPN, St. Louis isn't going to make a big deal out of it because theres a good chance they've done and will do this.

One of those unwritten rules?

Is Lester even known for having good breaking balls? I watched the game and didn't see much wicked movement that I'd be concerned with.

Sure does look like he cheated, and didn't hide it well either. It's absolutely not why the Cards lost, but he did cheat.

My bigger concern is that ace Wainwright was bombed. And the lefty reliever Siegrist gave up his first homerun in 84 batters to Oldman Ortiz. The cards pitching staff looked vulnerable.

I use to watch baseball growing up like I was glued to the TV. Watching a few minutes tonight of the World Series and I'm sorry but the game is just so slow to watch. I turned it over after a few minutes. This seems to be a national trend and I'm just frustrated more with myself and don't quite understand. Go Cardinals !

hiawatha, ia
Cards should be up 6, hopefully their inability to finish a few of these innings won't haunt them.

Go Carlos and Trevor!

We seriously need to sign a decent short stop this off season. Kozma has made enough mistakes through the first 3 games for the entire series. Granted, that was a tough play with a high chopper but c'mon man, you gotta make that snag in the World Series.
