Richardson still ready but Rohach is waiting in the wings

Happy to hear that Rohach has been practicing better. We really need a healthy Sam. It might be better to sit him a game to let him recover. Not sure Baylor is a game you want to do that though. Guess it should depend on how Sam is doing.
Let me guess--Rohach comes in to start, schools Baylor all afternoon in a surprising upset, and the fanbase gets REALLY excited about a QB that played well against a team that hadn't prepped at all for him.
Then ISU wins once the rest of the year.

Serious question, what happens if Rohach comes in and lights it up like Sam did against Kansas. Are we back to square 1 with a QB competition for the next 3 years, bring Sam back the following week and leave Rohach on the sideline, or give Rohach Sam's starting job?
Richardson/KU Defense vs Rohach/Baylor Defense...Not sure there's really an advantage of one over the other.
It doesn't sounds like Rhoads is too keen on playing Rohach yet. Maybe it's just me, but it sounds like he'd rather play a half beaten up SR..Hopefully Rohach isn't complete garbage because his time will come if Sam doesn't stay injury free.
The job would still be Sam's. Every other team in the country can handle having a competent backup once in a while. So can we. Sam is hurt, not getting pulled.
The fact that they won't be prepped for Rohach shouldn't really matter. He's not really a different QB than Richardson and we run the same offense with both of them.
I agree and if we were to win, it's not going to be because of the offense exploding with a QB who can't hardly walk in the second half.
Well, we really don't know what he's like compared to Sam other than coach speak.
And the Nike ELITE camp Rohach got invited to. (Sam didn't).
And the fact that Rohach threw for over 3,000 yards his senior year...
With Sam hurt, time to use this the rest of this season as a live practice environment. It sucks, but better not waste this opportunity if we want to excel next year.

Grant Rohach - 1851 yds passing (15 TDs); 493 yds rushing (5 TDs).
Sam Richardson - 2,742 yds passing (34 TDs); 590 yds rushing (5 TDs).
Joel Lanning - 2,315 yds passing (22 TDs); 1,082 yds rushing (17 TDs).
Trevor Hodge - 2,934 yds passing (31 TDs); 1,322 yds rushing (7 TDs).
Your "fact", regarding Grant's senior year stats, is a little off....
Give him reps and rest your starter. If our qb situation doesn't get better then hmmmm isn't tht coaching? Gee who coaches the qb's again?
ISU fans are a funny bunch. You would seriously be upset if we beat a top 20 team on the road and our backup QB played well? I for one, say it means we got good QB play for a change.
