Has Nicholson ever wrestled St John? Also, I'm excited for to see what our lighter weights bring to the mat. I think Earl Hall will be a pleasant surprise.

Not in college, don't know about high school.

I agree that we have a lot of possible upside. Especially with Goettl and Nicholson/Molina. I'm worried that Moreno and Weatherman might be a little bit overranked right now due to their performances at NCAAs, but if they do drop I don't expect it to be far. Hall at 125 could be a good one and Smith at HWT is a complete blank slate - he might rarely win a match or he might end up being an AA.

I think at the very least we will have a guy ranked at 157 by later December, and expect Goettl to move up. 125, 133, 141, and HWT I don't know about. It's possible we'll have guys ranked at 8-9 weight classes though.

I think Moreno is ranked where he should be for now. He has a win over Sulzer at #5, an NCAA win over Moore, and also a win over #2 Caldwell. And no losses to the guys below him except Moore in the dual last year.

I think Moreno is unquestionably a guy I expect to AA. I just think he punched above his weight at NCAAs last year (as evidenced by several victories over guys who had beaten him during the season) and he's benefiting from that in the pre-season rankings.

I don't follows wrassling as closely as other sports, but I'm curious about our likely lineup. Does it look something like this:

125 -- Hall
133 -- Bauer
141 -- Meeks
149 -- Goettl
157 -- Molina or Nicholson or Weatherman
165 -- Moreno
174 -- Weatherman
184 -- Beard
197 -- Kyven
285 -- Smith or Swope or (maybe) Perna

Is this it?

Gabe Moreno or possibly Shayden Terukina at 141. John Meeks to redshirt.
Trent Weatherman is done competing due to injury
Hwt will be Quean Smith.
125 and 133 could look like that Larson may be at 125 and Hallman will compete for 133.

Behind you
174 is a meatgrinder. Not sure if anyone will be able to step up and take out Howe, but lots of talent there.
