I'm not ready to order it just yet. I'm getting it for release day, but I've got some serious plasma to donate before I pony up the money.

Still undecided on which system, but friends are telling me that I might be sol if I don't reserve one or the other early.

This is what I have heard as well. I have zero interest in a Playstation though so if I but a next gen system it will be the Xbox. I plan to wait at least 6 months to see if major issues emerge like they did with the 360, as well as hope for a first price drop.

I keep seeing this thread and thinking it's called "PSA lunch Nov. 15 for $3.99" and hoping the deal is at a restaurant I like.

Same. I'm in no rush to buy the next generation. I mean, I pretty much only play FIFA... so buying it for one game seems a little absurd.

I think I am waiting until Infamous: Second Son comes out to purchase one. That will give me a couple months after release to see if any hardware issues arise, plus I should be able to find the new Killzone game a little cheaper. Sony said that they had over 1 million pre-orders already today.

I'm shocked that it's only $399. Didn't the PS3/360 cost like $800 when they were released?

I think the PS3 was like $700. I'm definitely going to go for the PS4; the XBox One has been getting hammered ever since the unveiling, and I've always been a Playstation guy anyway.

i love my ps3, but I'm going to wait til sometime next year. i don't seethat big of leap in the games for a while. Plus, i just bought a brand new gold controller since my old one made it way too difficult since the buttons would stick.

So I've read some on it - but not a ton. I gather PS3 games won't work on the PS4? Play Black Ops II primarily and while I plan to get Ghost - would still like to play Black Ops II.

i kinda want one just because of MLB the show.

That's the only exclusive that I would really care about.

I don't play enough video games to drop $400 on a console, but when I do upgrade from my Xbox 360, I'm pretty certain that it will be to a PS4

How come the backwards compatibility is such a deal breaker? Just keep your PS3?

For me, my PS3 is kind of on its last leg. I'm just hoping it makes it to November 15. And while most of the games I have I won't be heartbroken over not playing them again after my system eventually craps out, NHL 14 is not going to be a next-gen title. So if my system dies before NHL 15 comes out, I'm without hockey. And THAT I would be upset about.
