Hearing central Iowa is now in the 4-6 inch range. Bad news for those looking forward to a 3-4 day weekend.

The weekend is coming up and your wife tells you that she is going to **** your brains out Saturday night. Then Saturday comes and after a little make-out session, she says she doesn't feel well and goes off to bed.

That is a little like this storm. After some dirty talk, it ends in a little kissing and hugging. But we walk away with snowstorm blue balls.

Wait.

Are you telling me that a storm that was supposed to drop a foot of snow a week out has been significantly downgraded?

I need to find a chair. I'm not sure I can stand up after hearing that.

I wouldn't say downgraded...still saying up to 18 inches from this storm in some places...just not central and eastern Iowa.

The new home the center of the storm is seeking may be Manhattan KS.

How drunk or stoned does she have to be before she says that?

Not sure why you thought it was going to drop a foot of snow. The models may have been showing that, but every professional meteorologist in this thread said it wouldn't happen.

That is most likely because she has a honey-do list a mile long that she wants done before Saturday night and she knows the best way to get a man to get stuff done is tell him something like that. It'll work every time.

Been married for 17 yrs and my wife uses that speak all the time and no matter how many times the story turns out as you typed, the next time she pulls that line I'm in "Let's get that **** done NOW!!!" mode. Wives know EXACTLY what they are doing......Just like Mother Nature.

It does suck that Waukee isn't going to get curb stomped in snow now. With only 6", even people with Prius's will have no problems. UUUUUuuuuuuuggggghhhhhhhh!!!!!

The biggest complainers that the "forecast is always wrong" are usually the ones that aren't paying attention and don't know what the forecast was anyway.
