Saw Aaron White said this after the game last night...

“But I think we’re just as good as that team, and I think we gave one away tonight.â€￾

Between that and Fran saying Marble was the best player on the court against Creighton and Ogelsby was the best shooter he's coached, it's surprising their RPI is 8th best in their conference.

I don't think Ohio State is very good so White's statement isn't outrageous, imo.

I need to see what Tallkid has to say before weighing in on the topic.

Way up there
Exactly, the entire b1g isn't as good as the media wants us to think. It's Indiana, Michigan and everyone else. Ohio State is great defensively but they struggle to score.

I'm not sold on Ohio State either but saying you're just as good as a team and let it get away when you were down 20+ pts in the 2nd half is outrageous

Minnesota is pretty damn good too, I think they will be right up there with IU and Michigan.

A majority of the issue with Iowa is their youth. It keeps them from getting to that next peg. They will get it, but it will take another year. They are very well coached and appear tenacious.

To be fair, that's pretty much what our players were saying after the KU game.

For obvious reasons, a banked in 3 at the buzzer to send it to OT is a lot diff than losing by 9 in regulation when you were down 20+ in the second half

Iowa's tempo free stats are fantastic (KenPom has them ranked 4 spots ahead of ISU), which means nothing for RPI and almost nothing for NCAA selection committee. What it does mean is, though they haven't been able to pull out wins, they've been playing better than expected (i.e. scoring margins closer than one would expect) against higher ranked B1G teams. Hopefully this means they start winning some games and their RPI gets a boost eventually, keeping ISU's loss out of the "bad" category.

Sounds like he's cocky and the OSU fans are too, the Rag reports they were chanting that they didn't want him, which seems fairly childish.
