That's a pet peeve of mine also, I had someone today pull out with a circle the size of a dinner plate and nothing more scraped, wtf are they thinking?

haha, in Maryland if it was suppose to snow/sleet/ice any bit. Even if there were flurries, EVERYONE would put their windshield wipers sticking straight out, that drove me nuts. My Project Coordinator even had the nuts to ask me the intern to put up everyones windshield wipers one day cause it started to flurry outside!!!

Maybe I'm just easily annoyed but sometimes just the littlest things upset me.

Here is an example;

Last Friday night I'm having a cold one at Tim's Time Out in Grimes (great old-school bar BTW) and this young guy walks in and orders a Corona. This is just my opinion but Corona has to be one of the worst beers ever made and I believe they charge $1.00 more per bottle at Tim's. At this point I just think to myself "he must not know any better" and turn away. A few seconds later this guy walks by and he has his thumb over the hole and has the beer upside down. He holds it upside down for about 2 minutes. In the next 2-3 hours I see this guy do the same thing everytime he goes up and gets a beer.

I'm not sure what would cause me to care what other people are drinking. Different strokes for different folks. Besides, I'm guessing you were drinking a Bud/miller/coors light. You've got no room to make fun of others for falling into a marketing trap.

I am slow to boil, but people being late for appointments or meetings that I am involved with really, really, really irritate me. Always have, since I pride myself in being on time (which means early).

Also, slow moving traffic gets under my skin. Which makes me work on serenity now as I am leaving the Lutheran Church of Hope parking lot.

Man, you aren't kidding with the LCOH parking lot. They REALLY need to have an entrance/exit on Ashworth.

How about the driver who leaves their turn signal on forever. I got behind this lady this morning who had her windshield wipers on the entire time I followed her while driving really slow. It isnt raining or anything. Think she was drunk?

What about the people that dont turn their lights on in heavy fog. Especially with grey/white cars. I know you can see, but I CAN'T SEE YOU!

Amen to that. I was driving back to Central Iowa from Colorado the Friday before Christmas. I drove through the fog that seemed to blanket most of Iowa. I can't begin to guess how many idiots were driving 1. too fast for conditions and 2. with no headlights on.

Why do there seem to be so many idiots on the roadway that seem to be more interested in where they are going rather than how many people they injure or kill on the way!?!?!

Re: Do little things sometimes p*** you off?

We visit folks in El Centro CA and Algodones MX (SW of Yuma) regularly.

It's kind of like with Jose Quervo tequila......while popular stateside,
Corona isn't well thought of there.

Among others, beers like Modelo and Pacifico are very popular,
especially in the out of the way places snow birds don't usually get to.

In all my trips there I have a lot of Corona sold to tourists,
but never have I seen a Mexican drink Corona.

Sheesh, I hate to screw up a thread, but this reminds me of one
time I was innocently looking for a teeshirt for the kiddys and stumbled
into a little place called the Green Door.

Momma Moo and Grandma Moo were right on my heels and we
strolled right on into the hottest little whorehouse/
stripclub this side of Tijuana .....

omigawd was all Grandma could say..

moo.

Not many carry Modelo, by far my favorite beer. What do they like down there in Mexico as far as their domestic beers are concerned.

It wasn't just that he was drinking Corona. It was that he was drinking Corona, with a lime, and making a big deal about tipping it upside down for 2 minutes. On top of this he was at a dive bar in Grimes Iowa.

This would be like line dancing in your skin tight Wranglers at the BET hip hop awards.

I was drinking Bud Light. It was cheap, it didn't have a lime, and I didn't tip it upside down.

Oh, here is another one I thought of. People that drive slow in the fast lane on the interstate when the right lane is clear or they won't go faster than the car in the right lane. One of my friends taught me a nice way to get back at those people. When you finally do get around them slow WAAAAYYYY down till they finally get over in the right lane then speed back up.

Also, Jon I completely agree with the notion I wish I had a beater car to let some hit me. I'm even more irritible these days with my new car when people drive stupid because I can just see one of them eventually hitting me. I'm a fairly agressive driver myself but I'm not one of those kinds of people that will cut you off or abuse the lane that is about to end kind of person. I get over in the right lane when there is room and I give myself enough time to get in the right lane before exiting as well as always using turn signals. It's not even something I'm concious about with turn signals, its habit just like when I get in the car I don't pull out of the drive without a seat belt on.

People that do the things I listed earlier then honk and flip you off when you won't let them in are just stupid. Don't be mad at me, you're the idiot that is in the wrong, I don't have to let you in. It's even more fun now when I have 303 horses under the hood because I can usually accelerate quick enough not to allow one of these drivers cut in front of me and there is not much they can do but slow down and fall into line like the rest of us did.

Thanks for the plug for Dos Equis...will give it a shot.

As far as things that make my skin crawl...

Drama queens/kings and those that toss their dirty laundry out for everyone else to smell.

Those two usually go hand-in-hand.

BTW...those that can't stand slow drivers (raises hand), here's the best deterrent for such...

I'm still convinced that 90% of Iowans don't know right turns on red are legal. Dear God, I'm going to kill somebody! I'm quick to honk at the offenders.

At a lot of stoplights in Omaha, right turns on red are not allowed for some reason (signs and everything). Also, at many of the major intersections, when the turning lanes get their green arrow, a sign will light up for the far right lane saying, "NO RIGHT TURN". Apparently they don't think Husker fans are smart enough to follow the rules of the road. Maybe they have a point, I mean they are Husker fans after all.

We have the same thing on the newly redesigned I235. On most exits you can't turn right on red. Brilliant.

Makes perfect sense. Got to keep them distracted. Husker fans are like bulls, as soon as they see red they go crazy and start screaming something about chewing gum. Would be dangerous on the road.

Am I missing something? Is there something about tipping a Corona upside down that makes it taste better?

Actually it is not lime flavoring melding into the alcohol- it is doen to allow the gunk to float to the top so when you are drinking quickly you can avoid the scum ingredients. The high cost is due to Mexican pesos being worth more today.

I had a buddy awhile back (1984) that bought a million shares of Corona stock (now Modelo is the company) when it was pennies per share. He did not want to bring in earnings from outside the states so he spent it on owning beer. He was one smart dude back then.

My parents made certain that if someone did something for me that I always express my thanks for their kindness. As a result when I go to an eating establishment of any kind or a store of any kind, I am always careful to make certain that I always say thanks. My pet peeve is that they do not say thanks from the other side of the counter (do employers not focus on that anymore with employees) or they respond to my thank you with the ever annoying "yep".....................disappointing how often that happens

2) People who cannot understand the concept of parking between the lines.
3) People who park INCHES from your car, thereby making it difficult to get into said car.

I hate it when someone parks right on the parking line in a stall (usually some huge truck) so I'll usually park as far to their side of my stall that I can, thus forcing them to enter their BigFoot from the passenger side (I'm not afraid of them "door dinging" me since they wouldn't dare chip the paint on their prized possession).

Not really a pet peeve of mine, but more of a curiousity. Why will people circle parking lots for ever waiting for that one golden space when they can park out further and walk and have it take the same amount of time? I don't even know the last time I went somewhere and didn't park in damn near the last stall available.

My favorite is seeing people do this AT THE GYM.

That last comment made me think of something else that's annoying. People that park backwards in a parking space. Every morning I see these 5 foot tall ladies driving monster SUV's and they feel the need to back them into the parking space. It usually takes them about 10 minutes to line everything up. Why?
