I still get 2 or 3 each year. Half the time they are delivered on a rainy day so you get one with water damage. Such a waste of resources.

They charge businesses an arm and leg for listings too. We've been slowly phasing them out.

It can't be too expensive if you think about it but sponsoring some youth team or donating money in the community would probably be better alternatives.

For a bold listing in several of them, including regionals, you can drop $1200 a month pretty easily.

In my office building there is a Yellow Pages office across the atrium from my office. It is surrounded by internet retail companies in the building.

Do you get preferential listing on the Yellow Pages website if you advertise in their paper book? Like, if your plumber buys a more expensive ad than another plumber, does Plumber A get listed/recommended?

I don't know about all of them, but from the ones I've discussed web presence with in detail, they have a separate web fee for something like that. You get something very basic, but to improve your ad positioning, I'm pretty sure it's extra.
