Anyone else catch ESPN saying today on "College Football Daily" that the Texas Tech at ISU game is one of the final five matchups for next week? I guess I don't see it happening but cool to be on the list regardless. The other games are OSU at MSU, Tenn at GA, Texas at OSU, and Baylor at West Va.

Yeah, like that will happen. The Gameday crew doesn't even know where Ames is. It will have to be a no brainer before they will get out their atlas and figure out where the Cyclones play.

They will do Texas. Just not Texas tech. They will do Iowa. Just not Iowa State.

No way it happens purely because of the fact that we're on FCS and majority of the country wont see it.

If the game was on ABC, ESPN or ESPN2 then MAYBE they would come to Ames

Maybe Samantha Steele can give us a good word. (she was here the last time we beat Tech i believe)

But yeah... our game being on FCS (besides the fact that its a joke that a big 12 conference game with neither being kansas is on FCS) will probably eliminate it.

Agree. Since our games are NOT on those networks....they won't pick us.

Oct 13 might be a better shot if the chips fall right:
#7 Kansas State (5-0) at #20 Iowa State (5-0)

Could be 1 of only 4 top-25 matchups that weekend.

Stanford @ Notre Dame would still probably get the nod.

Games don't have to be an ABC/ESPN networks to be on Gameday. They have had plenty of Gameday's at SEC locations when the game was on CBS. Now, like others have said if a game is on FCS it probably won't make Gameday. If it does happen? Cool beans.
