9. Detroit Pistons
The pick: Royce White, Iowa State Cyclones
Left in this position with the opportunity to take Meyers Leonard (immature), Tyler Zeller (solid but limited) and John Henson (no position), I would choose White. White is enormous with his 6-foot-7 frame, and is perfectly built for Eastern Conference basketball. Additionally, his passing ability, along with that of Greg Monroe, would give the Pistons two tremendous team players at the 4 and 5 positions. White is an Anthony Mason-type of combo forward who can play immediately. -- D.G.
No chance.Any chance Scotty gets picked up late in the draft? Haven't heard if he's been to many team camps, etc.
Gottlieb took White at #9 for Detroit in ESPN's 'Expert' mock draft

Most places I have seen have him going to Boston at 21 or 22.
Somewhere in between 14 and 22 wouldn't surprise me. I would be surprised if he falls past Boston though. I also wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't stay with the team that takes him.
This draft seems like it has the potential for some excitement with the Rockets
accumulating picks trying to pull off a trade for Dwight Howard, or potentially Pau Gasol. And teams with top 10 picks looking to move around.
I am pretty excited to find out who is going to become my new favorite NBA team. I hope it is somebody we can see on tv.
This will be the first NBA draft I've ever watched. I haven't had cable for 3 or 4 days thanks to Mediacom so hopefully I can watch on my Xbox.
