How bout Nard Dawg?
the problem is not with the kids. we should ban a good percentage of the teachers that do not know how to teach,"readin',ritin'and rithmetic"!!" then we should replace the horrible teachers with quality teachers that can really educate our youth...

So do people who do not believe in evolution also not believe there was dinosaurs on the earth? What do they do when they go to a museum and see the bones?

God put the bones in the earth when he built it.

A spokeswoman for the Department of Education told the Post the banned topics do not constitute censorship but a way for “students to complete practice exams without distraction.”

So, July 4, 1776 can't be discuses anymore since it was the birth of our nation? And we wonder why we are falling behind the rest of the world.

If today's parents and educators cared as much about educating our children as they do "not offending" anyone, we might actually have a decent educational system.

Might as well go full fahrenheit 451 and start burning books because who knows what might 'evoke unpleasant emotions'

FIFY.

Most teachers are still OK, but they havea lot of frustration with all the non-education stuff they have to deal with. That is bad kids / lousy parents, as well as all the bureaucracy that drives most of the stupidity. I wonder what the admin-to-teacher ratio was in 1970, vs what it is now? My perception is it is a hell of a lot higher now, and this drives a lot of cost and a lot of BS.

I say this having my dad as a retired 30+ year teacher, and a couple aunts that are in administration...

The problem with the modern education system is that we let the fringe of society dictate what our kids learn. In the attempt not to offend any of society's oddballs and weirdos, we must all dumb ourselves down to their level. I say **** those people and we ought to go out of our way to offend them. Go form your own school if you don't like birthdays and are too stupid to believe in evolution.
