Teams we want to WIN/LOSE to get off the 8/9 seed

If you want to be a 7 seed you want these teams to LOSE
You want these teams to WIN if you want a 10 seed.

All times CENTRAL

  • Temple - LOST vs UMASS
  • Vandy - 9pm ESPN3
  • Cincy - WON vs UCONN
  • Florida State - 8pm ESPN2/ESPN3
  • Virginia - LOST to NCST
  • Purdue - LOST vs Ohio State
  • Alabama - LOST vs Florida
  • Southern Miss - LOST vs Marshall
  • Notre Dame - 8pm ESPN/ESPN3
  • Colorado St. - LOST vs SDSU
  • California - 10:30pm FSN
  • Texas - 9pm ESPNU (Prolly ESPN3 too)
  • Indiana - LOST vs Wisconsin
  • St. Louis - WON vs La Salle
  • UNLV - 10:30pm
  • Memphis - WON vs UCF
Adjust your rooting accordingly, and I know some of these teams are playing each other but it helps more if a certain teams wins while the other loses depending on what seed you want.

All my classes today were cancelled so I have nothing to do but watch basketball. I was wanting to know what teams I needed to lose so we can get that 7 seed and here we are.

Will be impossible to pass Indiana or Wisconsin. The rest of the list is pretty valid.

Being that a 10 seed is usually the lowest seed a power six conference team can get, unless it's one of the last teams in, I really don't think it's realistic that the 3rd place team from the Big XII would get a 10 seed.

Problem is, as an 8/9 you play a one seed on short prep time. It can help because we are a ahrd matchup but if we get in the Syracuse bracket, they are hard to prepare for in a short time.

Looks good for us so far with Alabama down 9 right now and Southern Miss down by 1 at halftime

Why do we think we're going to get an 8/9 seed? In case your forgot we are the 25th ranked team in the nation. 25/4 is around a 6 seed. Temple is ranked 22 and they're predicted as a 5 seed. I see us in the 6-7 range, hopefully anyways.

If we played one or two higher quality teams before conference games, we would be a 6 or 7. But I don't see us being higher than 8.

most of the mock brackets have us as an 8 seed at this time.

I think we'll have a good case to be ahead of Alabama anyway...shouldn't we pull for them to beat Florida since they are a 7 seed by many of the guessers?

Either way it's probably not a bad thing...as long as whoever wins does not advance any farther.
