A lot can still change, but I would really like to move up to at least a 7 seed. I think that could put us in a good spot to make a run in the dance.

I think a lot of these sites are pretty much just copying each other now.

Would still love to see us beat UT and move up to a #7 just to avoid #1 in second round. We are ranked #25 which would translate to #7 seed instead of #8 (if they looked at those things).

Guarantee you that NO ONE wants to play ISU in the NCAA. If we are hitting our 3's, and with the matchup problem Royce creates, we can beat anyone.

The Big 12 coaches at least know how to prepare for us. We will be a beast for anyone to handle with only a couple days of prep time, and if we get past first round, the #1 - #3 seed will only have ONE day to gameplan for Royce.

These projections are pretty silly, IMO. I think they can be fairly accurate with who gets in at this point, but as far as projecting seeding, there are way too many games left that will impact the seeds.

Yet purdue is a 7 seed? SEriously big 10 bias makes me sick this year.

I personally think we should be above Purdue, Gonzaga, Creighton, Murray State, and Wisconsin. We've proven waaaay more than they have. Purdue has 0 good wins. Wisconsin has 1.

Win two in the B12 tourney and a 5 or 6 is possible.

All the seeding will be done before the B12 Championship game is complete so I think that is our limit.

I know everyone wants to play Mizzou again, but I hope they lose their first game, drop to a 3 seed. Hope that could move us to the Omaha region, and no 8/9 (As KU would be the 1)

Final is on Saturday, so that isn't the case anymore.

Agree here. Total BS. We would have our way with ALL of these teams.

I'd love to agree, but it isn't true.

Purdue won @Michigan, beat Temple on neutral court (I know, Temple doesn't sound like a good win — but it's top 20 RPI)

Wisconsin won @Ohio State (numbers-wise, that would be like winning @Baylor), beat Indiana and UNLV (top 20 RPIs).

However, big wins aren't the only way to slice it. ISU has two top-10 wins (better than both) and all 3 have 2 sub-100s ... Purdue's are cumulatively worse than ISU's (barely) ... average 127 vs. 131 ... Wisconsin was swept by Iowa (130).

I would put Iowa State in the mix with either team — putting us higher is no slam-dunk.

I almost wish we could drop to an 11 seed so we could get Creighton in the first round and just tear them a new one.
