After 8 games, RPI means nothing. Iowa has played a weak schedule (and is barely above .500), and the only reason ISU is that high is because of a road win. Other than that, there is really no surprise there.

After 8 games, it means Iowa is one seriously weak basketball team. :)

SH- This obviously means Iowa is the 271st best team. Scientific formulas are very accurate.

Ah yes, I forgot

I'm not saying Iowa is good - they are far from good, and even mediocre. However, RPI rankings really don't mean anything until game 20, and even then they are still too new to really do any good.

Where are the laughing emots by Drake? To me that's more laughable than Iowa...and please, whoever is thinking about doing it, spare me the "Drake is actually a solid team this year" crap.

They aren't deserving of that ranking but I'm not going to be surprised if they win tomorrow night...especially if they shoot well from the outside at all.

Drake has one loss to a VERY good St. Mary's team (beat Oregon and Seton Hall) and beat Duquesne (6-1)... Drake lives and dies by the three, if they get hot it could be a very long night for the Cyclones...

Ken Pomeroy is one of the best college basketball analysts and statisticians out there, the rankings are skewed because it's early in the season.

I'm a huge Pomeroy fan. IMO, all stats should be tempo based.
