1-0, all wins against ranked opponents and no bad losses. Taylor, Dake and Ward might be the only undefeated wrestlers in D1.

Now there's some spin for you. With those credentials, looks like he should be ranked #1.

Here's how I see it as of today:
125: R16, possibly R12
133: Staying home
141: Could go 0-2, could AA.
149: Staying home
157: Probably staying home
165: AA, possibly finalist
174: AA, possibly finalist
184: R16, possibly R12
197: ? Let's say R12
HWT: R12

I'd say you're pretty realistic Judoka. I'm not 100% on what Jerome's status is. I assume he will try to go at Big 12s. The other options, I don't think will get us qualified at 197. Hope his back isn't acting up very back today. I guess we will have to wait for word from KJ on Jerome's status. The 3 weeks off will be good for the team to get healthly and ready to go.

Using that information where would you guess we might finish, or what would our range would be, for the overall team race?

I would say around #10

Not going to get by Penn State, Oklahoma State, Minnesota, and Iowa. After that, alot is up in the air.

Although, Iowa is having some performance issues now with St John, Telford, and Gramball.

I heard rumors, in the truest sense or rumor, that st johns could be done for the season. This could have been before nat duals, but he didn't sound impressive there.

A top 10 finish would be very nice.

I know many people are disappointed in our overall dual record, but you can see the progress this team has made even with injuries. We've got more guys ranked now then when we started the season, as far as I can remember.

If the guys that are returning continue to improve and some of the guys coming in can help us, we should be a much improved team.

Ok this thread has been positive long enough, when are the trolls coming? They have been a little quiet as of late. Been pleasant.

I'm surprised that Spangler is still ranked that high, given that he didn't wrestle for a month and a half. Hope his conditioning will be good enough to wrestle multiple matches the same day.

It is three weeks to Big XIIs and then another two weeks to NCAAs. Conditioning shouldn't be a factor by then.

With Ward, best case is 6th and worst case would be about 15th. Of course, that is assuming that Spangler will be back to how he was wrestling before the concussion.

Telford has flamed out hard the second half of the year. If I had to put money on a heavy, it would be Gelogaev. He is like a better version of Simonson, and a healthy Simonson had no trouble with current #1 Flores last year. I think he wins the crown.

St. John you have to feel sorry for. I think if he stayed healthy he could have easily won the 157 crown. Dake has not been that impressive this year. But injuries are going to keep him out of contention.

The whole season hasn't been enough to get Beard back in shape. Although he had spent alot more time going with a baseball workout routine.
