SPORTSbyBROOKS » Beasley Admits NCAA Sins, Implicates Huggins

Sounds like K-State and Bob Huggins may be in some trouble over the recruitment of Michael Beasley. In court documents, Beasley admitted that a runner connected with Delonte Hill (former AAU coach Huggins hired to secure Beasley's commitment) paid for Beasley's mom to move to Manhattan and gave her 6 months of living expenses.

Sounds like the Reggie Bush story...

It will be interesting to see if the media runs with it.

Part of Delonte Hill's huge salary is the money he uses to pay off sleazeballs to get players. Since it comes out of his personal account, it's off limits to NCAA. Huggins and Frank Martin are both guilty as sin when it comes to paying players. This is how it works now, kids.

What? I don't believe this. Huggins would never do this and KSU is basically the basketball mecca. It was no surprise they got a kid that talented to go there.

There is the note about Huggins hiring Hill, but nothing connecting Hill or Huggins to the agent who was actually doing the paying. The full story said that the agent hand picked K-State because he wanted him out of big cities to try and hide him... It's quite the reach to connect Huggins to paying Beasley.

Do you really think they just called Huggins up and said "Michael would like to play at Kansas State?" Doubtful any of them could find Kansas on a map. Probably still can't, Beasley included.

It's very similar to the USC/Reggie Bush ordeal...so while Huggins wasn't paying Beasley directly, the program could still get the hammer for it happening.

The evidence may not be there, but I wouldn't say "it's quite a reach"...
