I was at the ISU UT game in 2007 and they brought their band. Anybody heard if they are again? If so, we will have to get used to their cow bells and stuff they play in between every down! :twitcy::jimlad:

Oh god, I hope not...

The Texas A&M band, on the other hand... I'd love to see their halftime show again.

I have no desire to see any other team's band. ISUCF'V'MB is the only band for me.

How can anyone possibly get fired up over marching band "issues?"

You clearly haven't been on this board for very long. You should have seen the threads from the Chizik years.

Also, there are a LOT of current/former band members on this board that get VERY fired up over marching band threads.

I can confirm they ARE bringing their band. My dad drives for a tour bus company and they were contracted to bring them to the game from the Des Moines airport. He will actually be driving them.

I wish our band traveled to stadiums other than Kinnick.

I'm not going to get fired up about the marching band one way or another, but they're definitely one of those things that separates college ball from the NFL.

They do occassionally. In '06 we sent a pep band to Nebraska. In either '07 or '08 the full band went and played at KU. Pretty sure the full band went to the KSU games at Arrowhead the last two years as well. I'm sure they'd love to go do more as well, it's just damn expensive. Beyond travel and lodging costs you're also looking at buying 400 or so seats for a full band.

I wonder if Texas is actually bringing the full band or just a pep band.
