New recruit Logan Molina 171Reply
He is a 2x state champ out of Nebraska, committing yesterday. Placing... 1,1,3,5 in high school. Prob be a 157/165 in college as he wrestled up a weight. ISU is also recruiting his teammate/cousin Chase White who is also a 2x state champ winning at 160 this year. Placing for him... 1,1,2,4. They were both looking at UNI or ISU.

Mentioned on TOM

Lincoln High wrestler Logan Molina has verbally accepted an offer from Kevin Jackson and Iowa St. Logan finished his career at 163-11 with 84-1 over his final two seasons. He is a two time Nebraska state champ and four time place winner. He is also a Cadet All-American placing fourth in freestyle in 2009.

you had me worried for a second on the order of placing. I assume you listed them from this year back, not from there freshman year to now correct?

Should we be concerned that we're chasing Nebraska wrestlers that UNL isn't?

Don't worry about offers. One of the best upper weights in the Big 12(second to only Varner) was Craig Brester, a Nebraska kid who had to walk onto their team. Next year will show us whether the faith in Jackson is deserved. It will be his first true test with his guys.

His other choice was UNI. That doesn't fill me with confidence that he is a difference maker.

Other schools recruiting him were Arizona State, UNO, Northern Ill, and Ohio State. Nebraska asked him and his cousin to walk on.

My only question is why another 171 pounder?
