I don't want an el-cheep-o treadmill, something that will last and run quiet. Any suggestions?

Are you planning on using it as a runway for your airplane?

(Someone was going to do it anyways.)

whatever you get make sure you get the warranty. That thing saved me 2000 bucks in repairs. and replaced the belt. Totally worth it.

I bought a used commercial one off of E-Bay that was used in a hotel. It looked 90% new when I got it and it has worked perfectly. It's in storage right now due to a recent move. But my point is that you can pick up a well made commercial one that is slightly used at a fraction of the cost... I paid $1100 (including shipping) for probably a $5000 treadmill. For $1100 in a store you would be limited to something from Wal-Mart, etc. It's worth a quick look if you are on a budget.
