anyone know if ohio is using him in any weird ways or anything? may be he runs the wildcat? i was wondering cuz he has only thrown 21 passes this year, but has ran the ball 73 times (for around 500 yds). i'm sure most of you dont care since he left our team, but i still root for the guy

If this guy hadn't been obsessed with playing the QB position, he would have been a great Cyclone. Unfortunately, if that was the case, he would have gone to UNLoyal.

Too bad the kid burned a year and a half of eligibility because he thought he could be a starting QB. He can't even win the starting job at Ohio. Would've been better off being an impact player here at another position, but hindsight is 20/20, I guess. I would still be interested to know whether he regrets his decision to out himself as a quitter here in 2008.

Kid had a huge part in beating Iowa.
He wanted to be a QB.
As a Cyclone he represented ISU well.
Thank you Phillip and I wish you nothing but the best.

We really could have used him at times over the past few years. At least we have the one good memory in the Iowa game.

He also quit the team, the coaches, and the unversity and fans. And handled it far from mature and responsible. But lets forget that fact.

He came here to be a QB not a wildcat.
When it became obvious that that opportunity wasn't available he moved on.
So should you.

A side from leaving without your permission what exactly did he do?

So quitting on your team mid season is perfectly acceptable? I'm completely fine with transferring. The correct way i.e. beau blankenship style vs. quitting mid season on your team and coaches.... Thats why i have a dislike for him.

1.) Quit the team during the season.
2.) Acted like a baby.
3.) Never told anyone he was leaving until after the fact.

I'm sure there are more I'm forgetting....

Could have been a key contributor at ISU but decided to go to the MAC and be a 2nd string qb. That's frustrating.

Not only all of this, but he quit the team right before he was about to get 2 straight games of being the starting QB. Arnaud's throwing shoulder was hurt and he ended up having to play and get dominated as the coaching staff didn't want to burn Tiller's redshirt.

If he had waited till the end of the year I don't think people would be so ticked off, and funny enough as you said, if he had just chosen to wait out the year, things could have changed.

At least we have the one good memory, but the way he left was horrible.

Was he dishonest about his intentions when he came her?
I think he made it very clear.

If you need to be angry at former players, I'd pick the rapist, thieves and
other various thugs.

Cyforce, why are you sticking up for him? Yeah he wanted to be a qb and we let him have the chance and he Quit on the team. And i hate the rapist, the thieves, and people that quit mid year because they are babies. You must quit things in the middle all the time to not be upset. Bottom line is he is a quiter just like Cheese****. I bet your pretty mad at him arnt you? So why arent you mad at Bates? Im mad at him for wasting our money and wasting a scholarship that couldve went to another player that thinks about the team first and himself second.
