I can't get Windows Media Player to load.

I have an email with a wmv attachment and it won't open ;had no problems in previous attmepts.

And When I go to Start--->Programs--->Windows Media Player

..it won't open. Any suggestions? Thanks

If you're set on using Media Player you can try and find the executable in C:\Programs (or something like that). I don't use Windows, so I can't give you an exact address.

Another option would be to install a new media player. My personal favorite is VLC Media Player (Download VLC media player from SourceForge.net). It runs on almost any operating system and I haven't come across a format it can't/won't play. It's also not nearly as bloated as WMP. The biggest downside is that there's no library built-in (like for music and such), but if you only need it to play individual files (rather than in place of a music player like iTunes) VLC will work wonderfully.

Try Ctrl-Alt-Delete
and open the task manager
if theres anything not responding, end that task
then try opening WMP again

I had a similar problem yesterday and that's what fixed it
