I've read about a 100 different things. What times do the parking lots officially open on Thursday for the first game.

6 hours before kickoff, or 7am, whichever is earlier, for donor lots. So, 7 am for donor lots. For public lots, like the student section, 6 hours before.

I think this is only correct on Saturday games. I think it's different for the Thursday game.

Not for the Thursday game. I park in G7, and we showed up about 7 hrs before kick off last year and they wouldnt let us in until 6hrs prior.

Every other game followed that 6 hours or 6am rule.

Good point. I would say 6 hours before, at the latest. During the previous Thursday night games, I used to walk to the student lots 6 hours before kickoff and would see people already tailgating in the concrete lots.

From 2009 gameday policy brochure:
For weekend games, NCC lots will open at 7:00 a.m. or 6 hours prior to kickoff, whichever is earlier.
All general public parking lots open 6 hours prior to kickoff.

With opening game little more than a week away, one would think the 2010 gameday policy would be available online by now ....

Will there be any Cyclone Fanatic tailgaiting areas? I am driving up from Warrensburg, MO for this game with my wife and 3 year old son (1st time to JT for him) and have nobody to tailgate with. PM me if there are any and I'll bring some beer!!!!

On the parking pass it says lots open at 1pm Thursday. Same as it has always been for the Thursday opener FWIW.

THE PARKING PASSES FOR RESERVED PARKING THAT I PAID $50 FOR SAY ABSOLUTELY NOTHING EVER ABOUT OPENING TIME ON ANY PART OF THE PARKING PASSES AND SINCE I CALLED THE OFFICE
\\\\\\ THIS IS FOR ALL GAMES, PERIOD\\\\\

6 hours before kickoff, or 7am, whichever is earlier, for donor lots. So, 7 am for donor lots.

I park in a donor lot, and no one was let in before noon last year for the Thursday game.

I was in at 7:00 am, parked and left in s-5

IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE....CALL THE OFFICE AND COMPLAIN AND VERIFY WHAT I'M SAYING IS TRUE. IT HASN'T CHANGED

Obviously the University is discriminating against donor levels here (not complaining).

G7 was not open until 6hrs prior. Everyone who got in early was in a more expensive lot.

Maybe some donor lots are open early, but G7 isn't.

The perforated sheet that includes all the parking passes has a verbage section that does, in fact, say the lots open at 1pm for the Thursday night opener.

Truth.

If you show up at 7am you will be waiting for 6 hrs to get in if it is a donor lot.

FYI...you'll have to detach that and blow it up to actually read item 4, but trust me it says 1pm.

OR

You could just look at your own parking pass sheet.
