Thanks to Kansas for not including I-State in what has to be the worst fight song in college sports...

KANSAS FIGHT SONG LYRICS
Talk about the Sooners, the Cowboys and the Buffs,
Talk about the Tiger and his tail,
Talk about the Wildcat, and those Cornhuskin' boys,
But I'm the bird to make 'em weep and wail.

'Cause I'm a Jay, Jay, Jay, Jay, Jayhawk
Up at Lawrence on the Kaw
'Cause I'm a Jay, Jay, Jay, Jay, Jayhawk
With a sis-boom, hip hoorah.
Got a bill that's big enough to twist the Tiger's tail.
Husk some corn and listen to the Cornhusker's wail.
'Cause I'm a Jay, Jay, Jay, Jay, Jayhawk,
Riding on a Kansas Gale.

I am not surprised. Those little girls down in Lawrence are afraid of the Cyclone Nation.

That's because they know a Jayhawk has no fighting chance against the power of a cyclone. Stupid song anyway.

Maybe... Might just want to stay out of this one, no wonder they chant the rock chalk jayhawk all the time.

The words to that fight song have to be so embarrassing to Kansas fans. That song sounds like something Bill Self would sing to his basketball players before nap time rather then a fight song. PATHETIC with a capital "Hip Hoooorah"!!!!!!! :biglaugh::biglaugh::biglaugh:

Speaking of sis-boom...

Johnny Carson

The clip is a little "sticky" when I play it...it usually plays fully through the second time. Partial face palm from Johnny Carson...

This is why, they are comparing the "power" of their nicknames, Cyclones are not mentioned for that reason, read about that in KC last year. Nobody beats a Cyclone.

And we should care why??? That has to be one of the dumbest fight songs too, there are nearly as many lines about opponents than there is anything related to their own school.

Not to mention, they'll have to change it the next couple years anyway. So long traditional song. ha

This reminds me of the lame song the women's baseball team sung in League of Their Own.:biglaugh:
