Planned: Brown to meet with UT head coach Dooley to discuss his plans to transfer.

What actually happened: Brown sends Dooley a text message and leaves town.

The rumor is that he will eventually end up playing with his brother at Kansas State.

Have fun with him, Wildcats. Maybe he'll text Snyder that he just doesn't feel like going to practice, but expects to start.

He has been at K-State rumor for awhile, although a couple days ago i read he hasn't officially filed for transfer from Tennessee. Both of those brothers were real shady during both their recruitment and transfer. I wouldn't be surprised if K-State is crossing there t's and dotting there i's on the whole situation before they approve anything. Whatever the case, he still hasn't officially transfered from Tennessee.

With something like that, I doubt Tennessee gives him a release. Wouldn't that mean that KSU can't give him a scholarship the year he sits out? Snyder should stick to JUCO's, DI transfers are going to get him in trouble.

Man, this don't smell good. Why on earth would these guys go to K-State?:mask:

Ok.... We all know certain things to be true about K-State.

1. Their academic standards are suspect at best.
2. Their program is run like the Wild West.... anything and everything goes. Who is going to keep these guys under control... Bill Snyder? :biglaugh::biglaugh::biglaugh:
3. Even if their players are caught being involved in illegal activities nobody will ever hear a thing about it. They are in Manhattan, KS... the only way that news is going to get spread is by the Pony Express.
4. They will win at all costs. If that means scheduling 4 non-conference games against FCS teams then they will do it. Integrity and competition mean nothing to them.

Feel free to add more....

5. Every questionable JuCo transfer will pick KSU because of their lax academic standards. It may not be the case now, but there used to be a rule that the eligibility requirements were lessened for in-state JuCo transfers to go to KSU. That is a big reason why they became JuCo State.

Yes. There is a reason they are a tier 3 school. I seem to remember that they took in quite a few recruits that couldn't qualify academically at other universities. For some strange reason they all ended up at K-State.

That among other things is the reason that K-State is the school that I have the least respect for out of the Big XII.

Really? ISU brings in a guy like Royce White, KSU is rumored to be getting Bryce Brown, and you act like a hypocrite.

Wow, just wow! xboxfever you are a real thread killer. How dare you mention that people should look in the mirror before talking about others? Surely ISU would never recruit a juco or a transfer with a less than pristine track record. The Cyclones are above all that.

Now for some facts. No D-1 coach can contact Bryce Brown until he obtains a release from Tennessee. Brother Arthur did receive a release from Miami. He has not enrolled in any D-1 school. Neither brother had academic or legal problems in high school. Their parents are ultra-religious. Both brothers have been mentored and trained by Brian Butler out of Wichita. Google Brian Butler and you will discover why the Brown's actions are, to put it mildly, weird.
