I would go to a mechanic and have him check to make sure your blinker fluid tank didnt get damaged and tell him to rotate the air in your tires. i would probably replace your continuum transfunctioner, i hit a deer and had to replace both the left and the right side coolent bags
I did that myself last week. Good thing I had a bumper extender and a right facing hex coil with a grooved flank shaft, otherwise it really would have been a *****.

I suggest driving in reverse only until you can get it into an excellent body shop for a soothing massage. Bruises like that take time to heal--poor deer!

There are a lot of deer running right now. The does are kicking last year's fawns away, while they get ready for the new ones to be born. The yearlings aren't very smart yet, and a lot of them get run over.

I hit a deer late afternnon yesterday. The deer ran off and my car seems still drivable although a chunk of the front bumper is missing. I just wonder if my car may suffer any internal damage. Is it worth to have my honda dealer examine the interior of my car?

Thank you very much for any advice you may have

You will want to make sure that the airbags, if equipped, are working properly. Now, could be a dumb thing to suggest since you did hit a deer and you could assume that if you had airbags they deployed or are obviously broken. I have heard that driving with airbags that don't work is illegal or at least could prove a huge liability. Body Shop would definitely know.

If you don't have airbags, nothing is dragging, everything is working, and you don't care you do not have a bumper, then let it be.

You are so good. It is sure nice to know this board has a smart tecnernometer technician who knows how to extrude shafts and to reattch sundry of parts upon short notice. Did you have trouble recharging the hex coil? And, you can never have enough extenders.

Finding the lowest possible auto insurance quotes online that can lead to considerable savings is the best thing you can do. The secret is simply to compare the rates of 4 different insurance companies and the one that can give you with the best rate and coverage is the one to go for. Just my two cents.

-This should probably be done before you hit the deer. But always good to shop around.

I hit a deer about 4 years ago and totaled my car, the airbags did not deploy. Most of the damage was on the front driver's side corner (headlight, hood, bumper, front quarter panel, etc), so maybe it just missed the sensor that would activate the airbags. Same could have happened here.

I had this same dilemma a few years back. I hit a deer and my airbags didn't go off. A few months later I'm in a hit and run and my airbags go off. I don't get it. . . .

I've probably hit 15 deer in 20 years-they're really a problem here-but have never had airbags deploy.Ususally I'm not goin that fast but have hit a couple at 45 or so and messed up bumper and grille but airbags never deployed. I think it has to do with where the initial impact is and the weight of a deer versus another hitting another vehicle. Another vehicle usually won't get hit and "fly" the other direction like a deer or lightweight obstruction.

We hit one around Christmas (or really, it hit us) in Ames going up the hill on N. Dakota towards Lincoln Way. It took out the drivers side headlight and the quarter panel. Couldn't even open the drivers door. And we were going maybe 25. He just kamakazeed us. Anyway, we paid the deductable, took it to Don and Sons on east LW and they had the vehicle good as new in a few days. Pain in the rear, but insurance didn't go up because it wasn't our fault.
