The Men's basketball team will have scrimages open to the public at Hilton Coliseum before home football games this year. Thursday's game begins at 3:00.

hah, now THAT would be a fun afternoon. I am laughing just thinking of firing the grill up in one of the isles of hilton. Maybe I could offer Wes a few steaks to add some meat on his bones.

If they setup some sort of court outside, allowing fans to gather around it in their chairs, beers in one hand and grills on their other side - it would be a hit.
Practice Before Oct 15
The coaches can work with small groups before formal practice starts. It's something like groups of 4 for a total of 2hrs/wk and then I believe it bumps up after a few weeks to largers groups and longer hrs/wk.
I believe they can kick off practices at midnight on Friday, Oct 12.

Where did you hear this? Is it going to be a standard time, like 4 hours before gametime, or anything like that? I'm definitly going to hit this up. They should get the ladies involved too, have like 3 point shooting contests and stuff.
Frankly I think the number of people wanting to watch any pickup basketball with tailgating as the other option will be small. I didn't mean girls vs. guys, just find a way to provide some exposure to the ladies as well.
