Although not really a book per say, looking back, Sesame Street was kind of creepy.

They had a pimp,

strung out cocaine addict,

homeless guy,

crazy guy with the munchies,

a giant chicken,

and gay couple....

and don't even get me started on Scooby Doo, or HR Puffnstuff.......
