Sorry if this has already been posted, but did you guys notice that Nebraska beat USC on the road the other day in the hardwood series. That really surprises me and is a nice win for the Big 12. Maybe we can win the series this year.

Good win for Nebraska, but that game wasn't part of the challenge. USC plays at Texas on Thursday when the Challenge starts.

Ha, that makes more sense. I saw this first on wikipedia. I guess it was an overexuberant fan. I'll have to correct that.

I assume it wasn't anyway. I went to espn's scoreboard page to see all the matchups by day. Once I got to Thursday, each game had Pac 10/Big 12 Hardwood Challenge under it. Sunday's game didn't have that.

Is there a website set up for the challenge anywhere?

It was, according to the Big 12.

USC and Washington are each playing 2 Big 12 teams to make up the difference. The first two years it was Arizona and Stanford.

Nov. 29 Nebraska 51, USC 48 Los Angeles, Calif.
Dec. 3 Washington at Texas Tech (ESPN2, 6 p.m.) Lubbock, Texas
Dec. 3 USC at Texas (ESPN2, 8 p.m.) Austin, Texas
Dec. 3 Baylor at Arizona State (FSN, 9:30 p.m.) Tempe, Ariz.
Dec. 4 Colorado at Oregon State (FSN, 10 p.m.) Corvallis, Ore.
Dec. 5 Oregon at Missouri (ESPNU, 4 p.m.) Columbia, Mo.
Dec. 5 Washington State at Kansas State (ESPNU, 8 p.m.) Manhattan, Kan.
Dec. 5 Iowa State at California (ESPNU, 10 p.m.) Berkeley, Calif.
Dec. 6 Kansas at UCLA (FSN, 4:30 p.m.) Los Angeles, Calif.
Dec. 6 Arizona at Oklahoma (ESPNU, 6 p.m.) Norman, Okla.
Dec. 16 Oklahoma State at Stanford (FSN, 9 p.m.) Stanford, Calif.
Dec. 22 Texas A&M at Washington (FSN, 10 p.m.) Seattle, Wash.

We should kill the Pac10 this year. They are terrible and the Big 12 is pretty good.

Well, now that we cleared it up, it does look like a nice win for the Big 12 that I wouldn't have expected.

Well, too bad for them. If they cannot beat Nebraska, what hope do they have against the Texans? What is this: The Big 12 Championship Football rematch on the hardwood court?

Now that makes sense. I just assumed that two schools didn't play. We have the same thing set up for Volleyball with the IIAC/MIAC. The bottom one or two teams just don't play in the challenge.

That's how the Big10/ACC Massacre does it. One team from the ACC doesn't get to kick around a Big 10 team every year

I figured they weren't good, but Nebraska is pretty bad too, and it was a road game. Well, at least it is one in the Big 12 column.

USC is NOT GOOD this year. They're 2-2, and lost to Loyola Marymount by 8.

Agreed. They only have one guy eligible this semester who averaged more than 13 minutes/game for them last year

Wow, didn't know there was another power conference program in that bad of shape. So of course that begs the question of USC vs Iowa, who ya got?

Don't make me even think about that game. A sure cure for insomnia.

Couple questions:

How many years has this existed? This is the 3rd year or so?

What is the series record?

ISU has been matched up with Oregon St twice?

TIA!
