For those of you who (like me) were fans of John Skladany. He is D coordinator at Houston and they play TTU Sat night. Don't forget to set your tivo before you head to the Army game. ESPN2 @8:15.

I was very impressed with Houston, at least offensively, when they upset Okie State a couple weeks ago. That was a fun game to watch.

I wish we Skladany to coach the D against Army. He knew how to shut down an option pretty well, and coached the best D's I've seen at ISU. Go Houston I guess!

I loved Skaldany, and I wish Chizik had held on to Skaldany instead of giving him his walking papers in favor of a buddy, but I'd take Wally Burnham coaching my team's defense just about any day (and yes, Burnham was able to get his South Florida defenses to stop the option pretty well as well).

Skladany had pretty good schemes, just didn't have the horses all the time.

I really thought he had Missouri's offense figured out. Chase Daniel did not look comfortable in D Mac's last game, and I think Skladany was responsible.

I liked Skladany but the story of Houston is the story of offensive fire power.

I liked Skladany as well.

He was the unfortunate benefeciary of some bad offenses his last few seasons at ISU.

Skladany was let go last Friday. I guess there's a possibility he could end up at USF if Mac happens to make a move back there, but it sounds like the frontrunner (at the moment) is Skip Holtz.

I've thrown Mac's name out there on a couple of national posts, but it ain't sticking.
