I mean Stanford was almost canned a few years back, so that shows you how into wrestling they are.
I’d imagine they had to really do some campaigning these past few weeks to get all the money rounded up for those guys to come back. I wonder what the going rate is for all those guys(Provo,Knox, Garvin, and Norman)?
Obviously we need bodies but that’s underwhelming when Provo is out there.
Smith with 3 years left is big though.
Smith has some talent and impressive wins last year. Definitely inconsistent, but I'd be fine with the staff taking a chance on him
Is the roster limit for 26-27 set at 30? Appears we had 34 on roster for 25-26, so we had 4 "designated athlete" exceptions? Does the exception continue for any athletes who were given the exemption or do they all go away for 26-27?

Someone in this thread said they were on a flight to DSM with a wrestler wearing ASU gear. Any chance it was Castillo coming back from a visit? LOL
It absolutely wasn't him. I know who Castillo is.
The problem is, some of these guys are content with being on scholarship at a big time university like Ohio state and getting their education paid for. Vinnie could graduate after this next season and still have 2 full seasons somewhere else as a grad transfer though. He could get a medical for the 2025 session and technically only be a sophomore this upcoming season. Also, he’s in a great spot where if Bouzakis can’t make the cut again he’s the guy for Ohio state
