WBB: 2026 Transfer Portal

That is your hope, again I will remind you that is the same kind of **** and Iowa fan would say about an Iowa State player…

They wouldn’t know any more than you do as I’ve always said the haters on the Iowa board are the same as the haters on the Iowa State board. Absolutely zero difference.
Seems like you are quite the know it all on every message board, Iowa and Iowa State both.

Dan McCarney got fired, Orr was pushed out before he was ready. Both have incredible legacies, it was time in both cases.
Those are FB and MBB HCs. JP likely isn’t going to pay salaries for two WBB HCs during 2026-27.

Up to Bill IMO if he wants to coach another season. I kind of doubt he will.

Man, I would have to look in the mirror and replay the last couple years if I were him.
Can’t imagine doing a complete roster rebuild as tenured of coach he is. Just crazy were we are currently

Yep. It's all too often so many professional athletes, coaches and others just can't admit it's time and hang on, then have to be fired when they could could have garnered so much admiration and respect celebrating what they accomplished and not what they didn't.

It's kind of ironic...2018-2019 was good season at 26-9. It probably also led to the current situation.

Prior to 2018-2019, ISU was 14-17 (2017-2018), 18-13 (2016-2017), 13-17 (2015-1206),18-13 (2014-2015), 20-11 (2013-2014). BF's "lifetime" contract was up for renewal in 2019, and he would have been 62 at that time. If 2018-19 had been like the previous 2-3 seasons, it would have been pretty easy for the AD to perhaps suggest it was time to move on and maybe do a short renewal so BF could retire at 65.

Instead 2018-19 was a 26-win season, and BF got an extension through 2025.

I remember that 2018-2019 team. They were very fun to watch with a core of Carleton, Scott, A Joens, and Middleton with Wise, Burkhall, and a few others as key role players. Even in Carleton's senior year, that team had 5 players that took at least 270 shots.

Since then we have had only 2 or 3 get that many shots up in a season as we entered the years of "get the ball to Ashley or Audi" with typically only Emily Ryan or Lexi Donarski getting many shots other then the star.
