Two of the top preseason college football publications have now gone to print on Iowa State’s projections for the 2014 season.

Earlier this week, Athlon slotted the Cyclones at No. 66 and 8th in the Big 12.

Now, Lindy’s actually has Iowa State ranked 13 spots higher at 53. However, Lindy’s also has the Cyclones finishing 9th in the Big 12, only ahead of Kansas.

"Looks like another season around the bowl cut line, as the defense has major holes to fill," wrote Lindy’s in its quick "call" on Iowa State’s season.

The publication is predicting Oklahoma to win the league with Baylor, Kansas State, Texas and Texas Tech rounding out the top five.
