Iowa State and Jimmy Rogers landed their 11th commitment to the 2027 recruiting class in Utah native Cash Hollingshead.

The 6-foot-3, 205-pound quarterback was invited to the Los Angeles Elite 11 Regionals this past February and held only one other offer from Northern Arizona.

“I really enjoyed my time in Ames on my visit,” said Hollingshead in an interview with Cyclone Fanatic. “I love the campus, area, and atmosphere of Ames as well as the coaching staff and how they want to compete to win championships and develop us as a team to be our best on and off the field.”

Hollingshead has been able to build relationships with the Iowa State coaches really quickly during his recruitment, including Iowa State Quarterbacks Coach Keith Heckendorf, Offensive Coordinator Tyler Roehl, and Head Coach Jimmy Rogers.

“Coach Heckendorf has already taught me a lot, and I’m excited to learn more from him. Coach Roehl and Coach Rogers have both been super helpful through this process and very supportive. What stands out is how honest and genuine they are while being willing to push me in all phases to be my best.”
