Iowa State opened as a modest favorite over Clemson in the Cheez-It Bowl.

Not anymore, which is probably the correct decision.

Since Breece Hall skipping the bowl game for personal reasons leading up to the 2022 NFL Draft, the spread has flipped, making Iowa State a near consensus 1-point underdog.

Makes sense. Hall, a two-time Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year, ran for 41 touchdowns over the last two seasons.

Up next for Iowa State is Jirehl Brock. He’s got one touchdown over the last two years, but has never really gotten much of an opportunity to shine behind Hall, who is arguably the best player in the history of Cyclone football.
