Matt Thomas looks more and more like a high-major basketball prospect every single day.

Thomas, a 6-foot-2 shooting guard out of Onalaska, Wisc., picked up two new scholarship offers over the weekend. Add Marquette and Boston College to Thomas’ growing list of college choices.

“I’ve talked to Washington State, Oregon State and Utah,” Thomas told CycloneFanatic.com on Sunday night. “I’ve been playing phone tag with Utah’s coach. We’ll see. Nobody else new has offered yet.”

Those two schools join Iowa State, Minnesota, Creighton, Northern Iowa and Wisconsin-Green Bay in the hunt to land this 2013 recruit.

Thomas is arguably Iowa State’s top target in its 2013 efforts.

“Honestly, I would say that Iowa State has kept in closest contact with me and they have been to most of my games I think,” Thomas said.

Thomas averaged 16.4 points per game during his sophomore season, helping lead Onalaska to a 23-3 record.
