LAWRENCE, Kan. – Iowa State (18-9, 9-5 Big 12) picked up the 93-80 road win at Kansas (16-7, 7-5 Big 12) Saturday afternoon to secure the season sweep of the Jayhawks.

Iowa State seemingly could not miss from beyond the 3-point line, while Addy Brown nearly hit a triple-double. Iowa State sent in 18 3-pointers, making 10-plus for the third-straight game and 11th of the season. Seven of those performances have come in conference play.

The total ties the fourth most in program history and fifth most in Big 12 history. Addy Brown was a star coming just one rebound shy of a triple-double. Her stat line included 17 points, 10 assists and nine rebounds. The sophomore secured her seventh double-double of the season and 17th of her career.

Emily Ryan had a hot start with four 3-pointers in the first quarter, going on to match her career high of six. Ryan ended with a season-high 20 points, six assists, two rebounds and two steals.

Audi Crooks had her 59th-straight game scoring in double figures with a game-leading 25, while adding nine rebounds. Sydney Harris made five 3-pointers and totaled 17 points, while Kelsey Joens tallied 11 points as five scored in double figures.

How it Happened
Two early deep shots by Ryan put the Cyclones up 6-5, and after KU went back up 10-8 Ryan hit her third to again give ISU the lead. Continuing her outstanding start, Ryan shocked the crowd with her fourth 3 on as many attempts making it 14-13, ISU. Tied 15-15, Brown made her presence known with her own 3. The deep shot sparked the Cyclones to run out to an eight-point lead, while another Brown triple capped the quarter with ISU up 26-17.

Iowa State’s eighth 3-pointer came at the 7:30 mark in the second, this one by Joens after she pulled down a defensive rebound. Sydney Harris kept the 3-point train rolling hitting her second as KU called a timeout at 6:36 with the Cyclones ahead 36-24. Joens netted ISU’s 10th triple with just under five to play, and Iowa State would go on to take a 46-48 lead into halftime.

Four Crooks points kicked off the second half as ISU kept command of the game. With 5:26 on the clock, Ryan delivered her fifth from beyond the arc to make it a 15-point edge at 59-44.

Heading into the final frame, Iowa State led 73-57. Harris put in two more 3-pointers in a minute of play as the clock hit 5:55, making it 83-66. Brown, already with 17 points and 10 assists, pulled down her ninth rebound with 4:37 to play. ISU finalized the game ahead 93-80.
