Iowa State earned a post-signing day commitment to its 2025 recruiting class Monday as running back Jayden Jackson announced his choice over social media.
The Franklin, Texas prospect became a star for his hometown school, and helped lead the team to two state champions during his career.
The 5-foot-11, 215-pounder chose the Cyclones over offers from Boston College, South Carolina, Texas Tech, Toledo, UTEP, Wyoming, Tulsa, Sam Houston State, Prairie View A&M, and Lamar.
Despite the colorful offer sheet, he’s come in under the radar on 247 Sports’ rankings. Jackson is rated as the No. 124 running back in the class and just the No. 1647 player in the class overall by the composite scale.
Nonetheless, it’s evident Jackson became a leader for his team.

Jackson also became the 13th player in Texas High School Football history to rush for 8,000 yards during his career – his numbers are stout.
**ATTENTION** to any college program and recruiters… I’ll say this, #1 Jayden Jackson may be the best HS RB in the State of Texas and probably in the Nation!

It looks like Iowa State caught a late-cycle steal in Jackson, a strategy the staff has implemented in the recruiting process over the years that they set aside scholarships for.
He joins Ryver Peppers as incoming players in the running backs room with coach Tyler Roehl.
