Iowa State moves to No. 8 in latest AP Poll

Iowa State men’s basketball moved up to No. 8 in the latest AP Poll rankings, released on Monday.

The Cyclones own the nation’s longest streak of being ranked inside the top 10 of the poll, and now are set to face No. 5 Houston in a top 10 showdown on Saturday.

Along with the Cougars and Iowa State, three other Big 12 teams are ranked in the poll: Texas Tech at No. 9, Arizona at No. 19 and Kansas at No. 23.

No Big 12 teams slotted into the ‘others receiving votes’ category.

Iowa State and Houston will tip off at 1:00 p.m. on ESPN Saturday after College GameDay showcases the matchup.
