Iowa State ranked No. 15 in final AP Top 25

AMES, Iowa – The Iowa State football team has been ranked No. 15 in the final poll released Tuesday by the Associated Press.

It is the second-highest ranking in the final poll and just the fourth time ISU has been ranked at season’s end: 1976 (#19), 2000 (#25), 2020 (#9).

Iowa State won a school-record 11 games, finishing 11-3 overall and 7-2 in Big 12 contests. Iowa State started the season 7-0, matching the best start in school history. ISU also reached its second Big 12 Championship game during the historic campaign.

The Cyclones beat No. 18 Miami, 42-41, in the Pop-Tarts Bowl to end the season.

Iowa State rose to as high as No. 9 in the AP poll and No. 16 in the CFP poll during the regular season.
