Iowa State quarterback Rocco Becht will return to the team for the 2025 season, according to a report from the Action Network’s Brett McMurphy.
The Cyclones’ two-year starter was pursued by multiple SEC programs following his freshman year, but has already confirmed his spot in Ames for next season before the team participates in the Pop Tarts Bowl.
Although, there was no substantial worry within the program that Becht may depart, at least without his father and current St. Louis BattleHawks coach Anthony Becht taking the North Carolina head coaching job, which now seems to be going to Bill Belichek.
Becht threw for 3,235 yards for the Cyclones this season, adding 22 touchdowns to nine interceptions.
The Wesley Chapel, Florida native has two seasons of eligibility remaining.
Iowa State will face No. 13 Miami in the Pop Tarts Bowl on December 28 at 2:30 p.m. on ABC.
