Jacob Ellis enters transfer portal

Iowa State linebacker Jacob Ellis announced on social media Wednesday he would be the latest Cyclone from the 2024 roster to enter the transfer portal.

Ellis, a preferred walk-on turned scholarship player, appeared in all 13 games for the Cyclones this season and is Iowa State’s highest contributing departure to the transfer portal thus far.

The Roseville, California native totaled 41 tackles including 4.5 tackles for loss and a sack during his final season in Ames.

Elllis will have one year of eligibility remaining.
