Iowa State football added a 6-foot-8, 290-pound offensive lineman in Sione Perkins to its 2025 recruiting class.
The Idaho prospect made the news official over social media after being offered by Iowa State over the weekend.
I am grateful and humbled to announce my commitment to @CycloneFB! Thank you @RyanClanton @ISUMattCampbell for believing in my potential. A huge thank you to @CoachTodd68 @clutchjames and @Coach_Taufalele for the coaching and mentorship! All glory to God! Love you Mom & Dad… pic.twitter.com/bH38mbsrlo

Perkins had offers from Montana, Idaho and Eastern Washington, before receiving his offer from Iowa State.
This is typical for the staff in Ames – saving some scholarships for players that impress on senior tape.
Perkins gives the Cyclones their second commitment to the group on the offensive line, joining Cedar Falls’ Will Tompkins.
The 2025 Iowa State class now sits at 16 commitments, with December 4’s Early Signing Day just over a month away.
