David Montgomery was the talk of the town on Monday Night Football, in large part due to this 40-yard reception in which he put a defender on the ground to extend the play.

Montgomery finished with 40 yards on the ground on 12 carries and has now scored a touchdown in seven straight regular season games for Detroit.
Brock Purdy completed the day 15/27 for 288 yards and a touchdown to former Iowa tight end George Kittle, as the 49ers got back on track in a 30-13 win over New England.
After throwing the touchdown, Purdy made sure to tell his mom, ‘hi,’ before celebrating with his teammates.

Allen Lazard shined for the New York Jets despite the 10-9 loss to Denver Sunday.
Lazard led New York with five receptions in the game, going for 58 yards. He also somehow got hit for a penalty for this? Some things never change in the no fun league.

Denver zeroed in on Breece Hall in this game, holding him to four yards. Will McDonald IV recorded a quarterback hit and Enyi Uwazurike was inactive for the Broncos.
Xavier Hutchinson did not record a stat in the Texans’ 24-20 win over Jacksonville, but did get to see some Iowa State staff members when the team was there to face Houston.
Here’s Hutchinson talking to a reporter Friday.

T.J. Tampa officially made his NFL regular season debut for the Baltimore Ravens in the team’s 35-10 win over the Buffalo Bills.
Tampa finished with one tackle and fellow Cyclone Charlie Kolar also played in the game.
Jake Hummel recorded one tackle in the Rams’ 24-18 loss to the Chicago Bears, but did finish with a 90.7 Pro Football Focus grade, for what its worth.
