A former Cyclone defensive lineman played his best game as a Jet and a running back caught a 26-yard touchdown pass – that was only one game.

Here’s everything from the former Cyclones in week 2 of the NFL season:

Will McDonald IV played the best game of his NFL career, finishing with three sacks and four tackles total, along with a forced fumble in the New York Jets’ 24-17 win over Tennessee.

McDonald IV becomes the first Jets player with three sacks in a game since 2019 and also the first Jet to finish with three or more sacks plus a forced fumble since 2015.

In the same game, Breece Hall told quarterback Aaron Rodgers to get him the ball if there was a linebacker lined up on him.

Rodgers delivered, and so did Hall.

Hall finished the game with 14 rushes for 62 yards on the ground, and 52 yards on seven receptions with the receiving touchdown. Fellow Cyclone Allen Lazard caught two receptions for 11 yards, as well.

Oh, and Hall earned himself an extra appointment on Monday.

Brock Purdy finished 28-36 with 319 yards and a touchdown, but was sacked six times in San Francisco’s 23-17 loss to Minnesota.

So far in his career, Purdy is 14-0 in the regular season against NFC teams not named the Vikings. He’s now 0-2 against Minnesota.

Purdy also currently leads the league in passing yards with 550.

Running back David Montgomery rushed for 35 yards on 11 carries in Detroit, punching in a touchdown on the team’s only redzone score in the 20-16 loss to Tampa Bay.

Tight end Charlie Kolar caught one pass for four yards in the Ravens’ 26-23 loss to Las Vegas. T.J. Tampa did not play in the game.

Wide receiver Xavier Hutchinson did not make a reception in the Texans’ 19-13 win over Chicago on Sunday Night Football.

Linebacker Jake Hummel recorded one tackle for the Los Angeles Rams in the team’s 41-10 loss to Arizona.
