RECRUITING: Iowa State picks up 11th commit to 2025 class in Florida DL BJ Carter

Iowa State earned the 11th commitment to its 2025 recruiting class Monday in Middleburg, Florida’s BJ Carter.

The 6-foot-4, 235-pound prospect announced his commitment over social media after spending the weekend on an official visit in Ames.

Carter chose the Cyclones over West Virginia, NC State, East Carolina, Georgia Southern and UConn.

Iowa State had not yet had a defensive lineman commitment in the 2025 class, but have three edge rusher commits in Jack Limbaugh, Trey Verdon and Charlie Woleben.

The addition brings Iowa State’s class, which has garnered four commitments over the pair of official visit weekends, to No. 48 in the country.
