The NCAA released its early seeding selections as if the NCAA Tournament began on Saturday before the start of each game.
Iowa State slots in as the No. 11 overall seed in the release, making them a No. 3 seed for the national tournament in the committee’s eyes today.
The Cyclones share the seed line with Alabama, Baylor and Duke.
The top four overall seeds were announced as Purdue, UConn, Houston and Arizona.
Iowa State faces Houston in its next game, with a lead in the Big 12 standings on the line, Monday at 8:00 p.m. on ESPN.
