Iowa State was announced as a No. 3 seed for the upcoming NCAA Tournament as the committee released its top 16 Saturday.
Although the release is as if the season ended today, it confirms Iowa State currently holds a top 12 spot in the nation and sets up a big game in Manhattan later on.
The Cyclones and Wildcats are each on the No. 3 seed line, and with both programs being located in the Midwest, it will have a significant impact on either’s chances to land in Des Moines for the first two rounds.
Iowa State will be without Caleb Grill in the matchup.
Iowa State and Kansas State will face off at 1:00 p.m. Saturday on ESPN.
