RECRUITING: J.J. Kohl highlights week 4 high school football tracker

We’re nearly halfway through the high school football regular season and we saw a few standout performances as players get into the swing of things.

Below is every Iowa State commit for the 2023 recruiting class and how things panned out for them on Friday night:

Cyclone commit performance of the week

QB J.J. KOHL & DB JAMISON PATTON, ANKENY

J.J. Kohl played his best game as an Ankeny Hawk to date on Friday night, finishing the game with just two incompletions. Kohl threw for 261 yards, four touchdowns, and never saw an interception while leading the Hawks’ offense. He, of course, had plenty of help from fellow Iowa State commit Jamison Patton. The two-way star found 87 receiving yards, 28 yards on the ground in just a pair of attempts and added an interception that he ran from his own end zone to midfield.

Southeast Polk defensive back and Iowa State commit Abu Sama did not play in the game, due to an injury.
